Sept 6, 2008: Naveen Kaje from CSU gave the FCCC bowlers taste of the same medicine that he received when he bowled an expensive spell of 7-0-47-1. Chasing an imposing FCCC total of 218 runs, Naveen refused to roll over and play dead; instead came out with all guns blazing. He shepherded a rollicking opening partnership of 65 runs which came at a brisk scoring rate and then anchored the middle order with run-a-ball half century of 66 runs with 7 boundaries and 2 sixes. When Naveen finally fell – as much a victim of forearm cramps as of the mounting pressure of a steepling asking rate in the face of incisive bowling – he had left his team still mathematically in the hunt.
