July 31, 2005: Keshav Murthy from CSCC bowled an excellent miserly spell of 8-0-21-2 to help win this game against FCCC. After one of the most audacious counter-attacks in the recent CCL history from Kalpesh Bhakta setup a target of 190, FCCC top order blasted quick runs to get their half-way. Keshav's accurate spell and his two timely strikes caused a listless crawl by the FCCC middle order as the chase slumped to a mid-innings comatose. The climbing asking rate caused the batsmen to throw away wickets and lose the chase. Only positive thing that came out of this defeat for FCCC was a genuine soul-searching required by their captain (Nadeem) that prompted a change of mental approach and resulted in the complete dominance in the remaining games on the way to the league championship.
