Also discussed:
Clean up and update CCL Constitution. EC will appoint a committee and the committee will look into update the CCL Constitution.

Here are some additional items that were not mentioned in the minutes.

There was a question raised by Jarrar about the awards criteria. Kervyn clarified that the EC has the right to come up with the selection and had based their selection on performance. The CCCC club members threatened to walk out but Mike Riley was able to intervene and cooler heads prevailed.
There was a discussion to change the format. Raymond suggested we look at the format document just created last year instead of working on a fresh format.
Raymond also suggested we implement the latest changes to the game at the international level such as power plays. This was decided to be discussed in the LMC.

Kervyn mentioned several items he would like to see implemented:

  • Create CCL-EC@yahoogroups.com - And all communication from EC members takes place on that group, and is available to the next EC group.
  • Liability Insurance Coverage for CCL Officers paid by CCL.
  • Treasurer - Another person on the CCL bank account (President or VP).
  • Cougars Funds - $500 yearly set aside, with a 10%-20% increase every year.
  • Awards - Recognize Top 3 in each category.
  • EC Status Report to LMC - Weekly/Monthly basis.
  • Payment of Penalties/Fines - Penalty if payment is late after 2 weeks.
  • Fix next CCL AGM Date on CCL calendar at this AGM itself.
  • CCL Selection Committee - They need to announce the Cougars probables by Jan 1 if they are still in office.
  • Umpiring Statistics should be made available on CCL website.
  • CW Tournament - Volunteeers - Each team has to contribute by members or monetarily.
  • CCL's status with Secretary of State.
  • CCL's 503c status (Non-profit status).
  • CCL website - PHP programmers/volunteers.
