Player Of The Week - Jul 24, 2008

 Kervyn Dimney (CSCC-Stars)

This week's POTW is Kervyn Dimney(CSCC) for his scintillating match-winning performance against UNM where CSCC was able to post one of its most convincing victories with his innings of 121*(97) that included 10 sixes and 5 fours, surpassing the UNM target of 205 with just the loss of 2 wickets. He also bowled a restrictive spell of 7-1-26-2.

According to the CSCC captain, Narayan Madabusi, "Kervyn Dimney was at his best. A scintillating performance by Kervyn sealed the match. He scored 121* with amazing ease."

Even according to the oppostion UNM captain Ashwin Rishinaramangalam Kervyn's innings was summed up with this statement, "UNM ended their innings at 205 and looked very confident to win, until Kervyn arrived. He smashed all the bowlers all around the park. 10 6’s in all, what an amazing innings we were witness to (cannot be described in words, wish we had a highlights package), deservingly the MOM."

With this 121* he has surpassed his previous best of 117* (Scorecard for Game#54) being the Highest Individual Score at Memorial Park.

Ganesh Sharma(FCCC) for his innings stabilizing 37* along with Ravi Sajjan's(FCCC) calm 34*.

MoM: Aditya Kaundinya(CSUCC) for hitting 51 against a very good bowling show by CCCC and single handedly helping CSU post something on the score board.
Swadeep Pagadala(CCCC) for his controlled bowling capturing 3 wickets.
Rajesh Solanki(CCCC) for yet another dependable 3 wicket haul this week.
Anshu Boonapalli(CCCC) for his steady 39 runs.
Rajesh Mosur(CCCC) for his dependable 25* runs.

MoM: Pradeep Pagadala(DSCC) for his well made 63 runs (including 6 sixers) and two crucial catches in the field.
Sunny Ramesh(DSCC) for yet another constructive 49 runs and 2 wickets.
Ashwin Rishinaramangalam(UNM) reaking havoc over the DSCC batting line up with his 5 wicket haul.
Srikanth Narruvala(UNM) for his very patient holding-the-fort innings of 37(92).
Anand Ganti(UNM) for his effort of keeping UNM in the chase with his 44(65).
Suresh Kalakrishnan(DSCC) for being the pick of the DSCC bowlers with his 3 wicket haul.

Niraj Ganjawala(UNM) for his patient 39(62).
Anand Ganti(UNM) for his innings building 40(58).
Sakhib(UNM) for his quick innings of 31(22).
Raymond Mascarenhas(CSCC) for his ability-for-stability 32(48) and 1 wicket.
MoM: Kervyn Dimney(CSCC) for his amazing/calm innings of 121*(97) and capturing 2 wickets.

Nitin Bardhawaj(FCCC) for his blistering 94(46).
Parijat(LCC) for his steadfast 33(29).
Randika Fernando(LCC) for his quickfire effortless 32(13).
MoM: Rupesh Sagar Muthyala(LCC) for his quick 66, taking the game away from FCCC in the early stages of the FCCC bowling. His 1 wicket spell with the ball and aiding a run-out also helped.

Raheel Chaudhry(CCCC) for his amazing 53(28) being his second 50 in his rookie season.
Nishant Soni(BCC) with another consolidating innings of 65*(54)
MoM: Keyur Amin(BCC) for his excellent bowling performance with 5 wickets in 4 overs and pulling back BCC into the game after CCCC got off to a flying start. (bowling analysis 4-0-13-5).
