Player Of The Week - Jun 27, 2014

 Bodhayan Chakraborty (LCC)

Bodhayan Chakravarthy, who was the CCL Cougars captain for the 2013 season, ranks amongst the best players in CCL. Fearsome with the ball and superb with the bat, he is one of the best all-rounders in the region. Since his return from injury, he has been in superb batting form and choose this T20 against FCCC to stamp his authority. He scored a mind-boggling 97(59) studded with 6 boundaries and 7 monstrous sixes. Considering that the next highest scores amongst the LCC batsmen were 17,15, his innings totally changed the complexion of the game and super-charged LCC's total to a very competitive 148. He came back (with a shorter run-up... owing to injury) and picked up two wickets, including the crucial one of Omar Rafiq who had already scored a half-century and was threatening to take the game away.

For his brilliant all-round performance of 97(59) and 4-0-32-2, Bodhayan Chakravarthy is POTW.

Honorable mentions

M Rao - 4-0-28-3 T20 RCC vs CCCC, for a very destructive bowling spell which restricted the attacking CCCC batting lineup to a competitive score.

E Ashokan - 62(43) T20 RCC vs CCCC, for a magnificent match-winning innings studded with 3 boundaries and three sixes. (MoM)

H Singh - 36(35) and 4-0-12-1 T20 CSCC vs YCC, for a match-winning all round performance which won him the MoM in a low-scoring encounter studded with 2 sixes and 1 boundary.

H Zaheer - 3-0-9-3 T20 CSCC vs YCC for a devastating spell of swing bowling which nipped out the top-order.

O Rafiq - 4-0-22-2 and 72(65) T20 FCCC vs LCC, for a superb all-round performance with a brilliant half-century and a superb opening spell, but was unfortunate to end up on the losing side.

S Patel - 4-0-27-3 T20 LCC vs FCCC, for a brilliant bowling spell which put the brakes on FCCC's attacking batting line-up.

M Chabbra - 40(28) T20 FRCC vs CCB, for a superb attacking knock as an opener to setup a platform studded with 4 boundaries and 3 gorgeous sixes.

R Saini - 39(24) and 4-0-30-0 T20 FRCC vs CCB, for a superb innings to finish the chase for FRCC studded with 2 boundaries and 3 big sixes.

M Nallamothu - 4-0-27-3, T20 FRCC vs CCB, for a good opening spell to nip out the CCB top-order for the joint MoM.

S Tichkule - 4-0-21-3, T20 FRCC vs CCB, for a brilliant spell of death bowling for the joint MoM.
