Player Of The Week - Jun 8, 2017

 Subhashish Dash (FRCC)

FRCC introduced Subhashish in the 6th over of the innings. Before coming on to bowl, Subhashish had injured his thumb while fielding. So when he came onto bowl there wasn't any expectations on him. All that the captain wanted was a tight bowling from him. Subhashish had a dream spell where he took 6 wickets giving away just six runs. He was at his fierce best and the batsman had no clue as to how they could counter his pace. He started with an unexpected beamer - a ball which slipped from his hands but bowled a fantastic spell after that. First, he removed Mayur Patel with a full length delivery shaping away to which the batsman probed at it only to edge it to the keeper. His second wicket came when Aneesh tried to play a straight drive to a good length delivery finding Rohit at short mid-off. With the confidence of two good wickets, he bowled with more venom, full and straight. He then removed the sturdy opener Anand to a yorker - bowled him. Following that, he was rewarded with two more wickets for his good line and length in the form of two LBWs.The second LBW gave him his first ever 5 wicket haul. Finally, Subhashish also cleaned up the tailender to get his 6th wicket and finished off the innings to give FRCC a thumping victory

CCL would like to congratulate Subhashish Dash again for being picked as POTW.
