Player Of The Week - Dec 13, 2017

 Prasanna Damodaran (CSCC)

Prasanna Damodaran has been one of the most consistent fast bowlers in the league. His pace combined with swing and accuracy has troubled every batsman in the league. When he traveled with Team Colorado to Los Angeles, he continued his form and took couple of wickets. He finished this 2017 season with a combined total of 30 wickets, 15 in each format, being CCL's 7th top bowler in the Twenty20 League, and 5th in the Premier League. However, he was CSCC's top Premier Bowler.

While he should have had more wickets to his name, his bowling with fury contained the opposition in many a game, and that pressure yielded in the other bowlers capturing wickets. Some of his bowling analysis reads as 6-0-16-1 vs CCCC, 2-0-4-2 vs CSCC-Stripes, 5-2-9-1 vs FRCC, 5-2-5-2 vs ABQCC, 2-0-6-2 vs LCC-T; and 4-0-35-3 vs RCC, 8-0-30-3 vs LCC-L, 4-1-8-3 vs RCC.

His best bowling performance was against FCCC picking up 5 wickets for 28 runs. The first eight overs, Prasanna was on fire. With a lot of pressure on the batsmen, he quickly picked up Darshan in the 5th over and Faiq in the 7th over with his bowling analysis reading as 4-0-9-2. He was brought back in the 29th over for a break-through as the partnership between Naveen and Rajesh Idate was taking the game away from CSCC; and he didn't disappoint, by taking out Rajesh. To wrap up the FCCC innings, he was again brought in the 39th over and he removed Naveen KP and Naman Prashar, ending with figures of 7-0-28-5.

This was his second fiver. His previous fiver was in a T20 game with amazing figures of 4-0-15-6.

CCL would like to congratulate Prasanna Damodaran again for being picked as POTW for his consistent performance with the ball for CSCC.
