Memorial Park Rose Bowl Cricket Ground

 DESCRIPTION

Colorado Springs, CO

Owners: CSCC

Memorial Park is located near downtown Colorado Springs in Southern Colorado. It is part of a large network of sporting facilities that include tennis, swimming, football, soccer, cycling, ice-hockey/skating and others. Set in a natural bowl, it offers spectacular views of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and the front range of the Rockies.

The Memorial Park Rose Bowl Cricket Ground was created and made available in the Spring of 2003. The concrete wicket has an astroturf surface. It is the most leveled, full-size and spectacular ground in all of Colorado, with Pikes Peak as its backdrop.

When Colorado Cricket League became part of the Central West region, it hosted the inaugural Central West Tournament in 2005 at Memorial Park Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. Park & Rec did an awesome job of cutting the grass low that it looked as a golf course.

The town of Colorado Springs was "Little London" for the many English tourists and settlers around 1871. Apart from being the "Olympic City USA", it is home of the International Cricket Council subordinate ICC Americas since 2016. With Colorado Springs at an elevation of 6035 feet, you are indeed playing at the "Highest" Level in the USA.
