UNM v FCCC 2-June-2012 @ Colorado Springs - Reported by Andrew Dunbar(FCCC)
UNM won the toss and decided to field. The FCCC batting was dominated by Ravi Sajjan with a great patient and well accelerated innings of 52 off 39 balls. Rajesh steadied the ship after FCCC lost the wickets of Mike Riley and Omer with 21 off 26 balls. Next was Dipal who was in an aggressive mood and clubbed 47 off 35 to tip the scales at 129 runs off the bat and UNM helped with 26 extras getting FCCC to 155.
With 7.75 runs per over needed and the sun still shinning, UNM opened with the always entertaining – and more often than not lucky Vaibhav who was the first out in the 9th over – but not before scoring 31 runs. In the 12th over, the other opener Srikanth was out with 27 runs. UNM had their work cut out for them after 5 overs because they only had 24 runs on the board thanks to the tight bowling from Omar who after 3 overs had only conceded 9 runs. Rajesh came in to bowl and collected a wicket in his first and second over and by the half-way point of the UNM innings, they needed 9 runs per over and with continued tight bowling from Naveen and Mike Riley, UNM needed 56 off the last 4 overs. Andrew helped to seal UNMs fate by taking 2 wickets for 7 runs in two of the last 4 overs. As the afternoon Colorado Springs thunderstorms rolled in, 44 runs were needed in the 20th over but UNM scored 8 leaving their final score at 119.
FCCC won by 36 runs.
MOM: Ravi Sajjan for his 52 runs at the start of the FCCC innings and batting through to the 17th over.
CSCC umpires Nick and Asim did a great job

YCC vs UNM on June 3 at Memorial - Reported by Deepak Appu(YCC)
UNM started slowly in the first 5 overs scoring around 10 runs. However then the floodgates opened and their scoring rate increased rapidly. Srikant Naruvalla played a fantastic knock of 72 runs in just 49 balls with 3 sixes and 5 fours. He was ably supported by Vaibhav and Dharmesh who played good pinch hitting knocks. Sudhir and Nitesh bowled very economically for YCC.
In reply YCC started safely but slowly. At the end of 10 overs YCC were only 46 runs. Nitesh scored 22 of 19 balls and the other opened Srikanth scored 28 of 45 balls. Later Niyaz, Naval and Deepak tried to score fast runs but the asking rate proved too much and YCC could score only 130 runs.
