Twenty20 League - Match Reports - Week 6 (7-8 July 2012)

LCC Vs CCB: Twenty20, July 7, 2012 - Reported by Aditya Kasukurti (CCB)

CCB won the toss and chose to bat. Manjeet gave CCB a quick fire start, hitting two sixes in the first over before Raja held on a hard driven ball (19 in 9balls 2x6 1x4). Satyam walked in at no.3 and started accumulating runs at a good rate, rotating stike at will and getting the occasional boundary. With the help of efficient partnerships with Aditya and Rajesh, Satyam took CCB to a defendable total of 135 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Dhiren was the pick of the bowlers with 4-0-20-2.
Satyam ended up unbeaten on an well compiled 54 in 46 balls(3x4 1x6). Raj and dhiren picked 2 wickets each.

LCC started tentatively as CCB picked up two early wickets.Shyam bowled an excellent opening spell of 4-1-13-1 to contain LCC. But Dhiren went after rest of the CCB bowlers punishing anything that is marginally short or full. Just when the game was swinging in LCC's favor, Satyam removed Vikas and Ramesh in consecutive deliveries to put the pressure back on LCC. Surendra got the crucial wickets of Dhiren (34 of 21 balls) and Raja (13 of 6 balls) foxing them with some teasing outswing deliveries. Satyam wrapped up the LCC tail soon after, getting his first five wicket haul in CCL (4-1-18-5).

Both teams displayed excellent bowling and fielding discipline with 0 dropped catches in the entire match.

Satyam was awarded the Man of the Match award for his amazing allround performance of 54 runs an 5 wickets.
