FRCC-B vs CCB: Twenty20 game, August 4th, 2012 - Reported by Aditya Kasukurt(CCB)
On a pleasant day for cricket when as many as seven batsmen got out for a duck CCB won the toss elected to Bat. CCB started very tentatively as FRCC bowled a tight line. Rajesh got himself out trying to slog after a string of dot balls. Vamshi walked in at one down to join Manjeet as they began building the innings despite the early setback. They rotated strike well and got regular boundaries off any bad balls. After the drinks break Nair got the breakthrough for FRCC trapping Manjeet (32) in front of the stumps ending the 73 run partnership and opening the flood gates. FRCC employed 4 spinners to choke the CCB innings by getting wickets in quick succession. They brought down CCB from what looked like set for a 150 plus score (78/1 in 12 overs) to a point of just hoping to play the allotted 20 overs. Nair and Sriram ran through CCB middle order taking 3 wickets each as Murali wrapped up the CCB tail bowling out CCB in the last ball of the match for a chaseable total of 118. Vamshi got his 2nd 50 of the season at a good strike rate (50 in 40, 7x4) holding one end even though none of the CCB batmsan could stay and support him.
FRCC-B started the chase well scoring at a good pace against the opening bowlers as Sriram took calculated risks and quick singles to keep the scoreboard ticking. Satyam got the breakthrough for CCB forcing Ajith to sky one and then got the important wicket of Sriram(15 in 20) to put the pressure back on FRCC-B. Jigar and Tej added some quick runs before Tej got out to a good catch by Arvind as he tried to go over the infield. Jigar kept his head down to hold one end while CCB got two more quick wickets. He got some support from Murali as they tried to get their chase back on track. Siva ended Jigar's resistance (22 in 35, 1x4) with a quicker one trapping him in front of stumps and cleaned up the FRCC-B tail. Murali struck some big ones (24 in 15, 1x4 2x6) but it was too little too late as CCB wrapped up the FRCC-B innings in 17.2 overs, 36 runs short of the target. Siva ended up with impressive stats of (3-0-12-4) while Satyam and Aditya got 2 wickets each.
CCB won the match by 36 runs.
Vamshi Mugatha was declared MoM for his 50 runs which made the difference for CCB.

YCC @ LCC: T20, August 4, 2012 - Reported by Raj Chitikila (LCC)
LCC won the toss and elected to bat. Naval got the early breakthrough by trapping Dhiren lbw in just the second over of the game. With the score at 13/1 and with the recent LCC batting collapses fresh in mind, Ramesh (37 off 32) and Dharam (45 off 61) played carefully and consolidated the innings with a fine 89 run partnership over the next 14 overs. YCC's Niyaz in particular bowled superbly with a fantastic analysis of 4-1-13-1 to prevent LCC from accelerating late. A flurry of well-struck boundaries by Ramesh during the middle overs helped LCC achieve a respectable 123/3. Dharam was unlucky to fall short of a well-deserved 50.
Chasing a reachable target, YCC's top order shaped up to play aggressively, but were stymied by Raj's recently-developed habit of getting quick wickets. Two wickets in the first over and two more in the fifth by Raj reduced YCC to 16/4. From that point on, the visitors were on the back foot and struggled to wrestle back the initiative. Excellent spells by Jay (3 wkts for 8 runs) and Karthik (2 for 10) helped wrap up YCC for 60 runs. YCC's Captain, Anirudha top-scored with 19.
Man of the Match: Raj Chitikila was declared MoM for his 4 wicket haul.
