2012 StoneCity T20 Match Reports

Group A

Jaguars Vs Anchors 8/4/12 at Longmont Reported by Das Thumma

Anchors won the match by 43 runs

Anchors won the toss and choose to bat, Anchors lost 2 quick wickets for 9runs but Das Thumma and Ravi Dixit made 28 runs partnership and took the score to 37 in 10 overs, Das Thumma with the help of Vimal and Bharath took the score to 115 in 20 overs.
Great bowling from Jaguars: Ravi 4-0-26-3, Kuldeep 4-0-12-2.

Jaquars lost 2 wickets for 16 runs but Anand and Manas took the score to 53 runs but after Anand and Manas got out Jaquars lost quick wickets and scored 72 runs loosing 7 wickets.

Great bowling from Anchors: Vimal 4-0-7-3, Ravi 4-0-14-2, Bharath 4-0-13-0 and Das 4-0-12-1.

Man of the match was Das Thumma 43 runs in 30 balls and 4-0-12-1.


Titans Vs WyoCC 8/4/12 - Reported by Vamsi Sakhamuri(Titans)

Titans won the match by 36 runs.

Quarter-Final 1

Sunday 5/13/2012 Warriors vs Challengers at Country Field Park, Erie - Reported by Mangesh Sahasrabudhe(Challengers)

Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl first. Venkat and Sanjay gave a solid 63 runs start to Challengers. They lost few quick wickets after the break but then Mangesh and Manoj played well towards the end to post a challenging total of 118/6 in 16 overs. Venkat was the top scorer with 35 runs while Sanjay (29), Mangesh (18 no) and Manoj (12) gave a useful contribution.

In reply, Warriors were restricted to 72/9 in 16 overs. Simha, Venkat and Vinay picked 2 wickets each. Challengers won by 46 runs.

Venkat was declared MOM.


Sidney Smashers Vs Challengers at Ft. Collins 8/4/12

Game started little late but considering Sidney Smashers coming from so far and as there was no other game schedule on the Lincoln ground that day, overs were not reduced.

Sidney Smashers won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting first, Challengers posted a challenging total of 118/6 in 20 overs.
Venkat was the top scorer with 39 runs while Mangesh made not out 29 and Radha 12. In reply, SS were bowled out for 90 in 18 overs. Siva was the top scorer with 21 runs while Ramu made 16. From Challengers, both Venkat and Mangesh claimed 3 wickets each.

Venkat was declared MOM for his 39 runs, 3 wickets and 2 catches.
Challengers won by 28 runs.


Group B

Syntel Vs Colorado Amigos at Erie 8/5/12

Amigos won the toss and elected to bat .Rishabh kapoor from Amigos playing his secondgame in CCL hit a maiden half century with a score of 66 runs in 54 balls. Shiv (14 runs) and Majji (31 runs) were involved in a big partnerships with Rishabh and quick fire knocks from a few of Amigos players later part of game took them to a formidable score of 148/7 in 20 overs.
Kaushal from Syntel was the pick of the bowler.

Syntel started their big chase well but soon began losing wickets back to back deprived of much needed partnerships. Kaushal (12 runs), Ben(14) and Arvind (15) played little cameos but Syntel ended well short of big score (88 all out).

Ram took 3 wkts, Pramod and Majji took 2 wkts.

Rishabh kapoor from Amigos playing his 2nd CCL game was declared as Man of Match for his superb half century (66 of 54 balls)


Mile High Mavericks Vs Crazy Cricketers at Erie 8/4/12

Mile high mavericks won the toss elected to field. Crazr Crickters started the innings they made 98 and mile high mavericks chase
in 15 overs.

Denver Chargers Vs Denver Indians at Cornerstone Park 8/5/12

Before the match started there was miscommunication between the teams and umpires when the match should start. Denver Indians and Umpires thought that the match should start at 10 am but the Denver chargers thought that the match should start at 9 am. After long discussion the umpires as decided to cut the overs for both the sides, so the match
has been reduced to 16 overs.

Denver chargers won the toss and decided to bowl. Denver Indians stared the innings slowly by loosing quick wickets.
Mahi got the break through in 3rd over and Novel and Yugesh got the wickets in there first over. After 8 overs the Denver Indians made 33/4. Kedar (15) and Avinash (28) took the responsibility and started to increase the pace ofthe game but after the fall of Kedar’s wicket, Denver Indians batting collapsed and whereall out for 93 in 15.5 overs. Pick of bowlers for Denver chargers are Mahi 3/13 and Yugesh 3/16.

Denver Chargers started the innings with first wicket falling in 3rd ball of the match. Rahul and Vikram bowled perfect line and length and took 4 wickets between them in the first 7 overs. Denver chargers are 29/6 after 8 overs. Karthik and Arjun from Denver Chargers tried to increase the pace but the fall of Arjun’s wicket the Denver Chargers where allout at 51. Pick of Bowlers for Denver Indians, Rahul 3 for 4 and Gaurav 2/17. Denver Indians won by 42 runs.


Spartans Vs Royal Warrior 8/4/12 at Colorado Springs

Royal Warriors WON the toss and choose to field.

Spartans lost their first wicket at the end of power play. However they kept losing wickets at regular interval and finally Spartans
managed to get 86 at the end of 20 over by losing 9 wickets.

Royal warriors started little aggressively, but lost their first wicket 5th over, however middle order batsman’s played responsibly
and Royal Warriors won very comfortably by 6 wickets.
