Panthers Vs Jaguars - 08/02/2014 – Erie – Reported by Anand(Jag)

Panthers won the toss and elected to bat first. After a slow but steady start, they lost their first wicket when Sayan holed out deep square leg off Mangesh’s bowling. Following this wicket, helped by wayward bowling and slopping fielding from Jaguars, Panthers kept coasting. Naveen KP applied the brakes by taking 3 wickets all caught behind by Anand. Jaguars shoddy catching was mixed with some fantastic direct throws by Harsha and Pankaj for run outs. Amit P top scored with 34 runs with his aggressive batting hitting a couple of big sixes. Pankaj, Manoj, and Praveen took 1 wicket each.

Manoj and Naveen KP opened the innings and provided a good opening partnership of 37 runs. Naveen was first to go caught by Sunil off Gaurav for 18 runs. Manoj and Mrugesh kept batting steadily, later supported by a quick but chancy innings by Praveen. Manoj top scored for Jaguars with 26 runs and Praveen added 19 runs as Jaguars chased down the target of 113 in the 14th over.

Man of the Match – Naveen KP for 3 wkts for 18 runs and 18 runs

Crazy Cricketers Vs Denver Indians - - 08/02/2014 – Erie – Reported by Vikas(DI)

CC won the toss and started to bat first. Adarsh played great leading CC with top score of 32 runs and eventually CC started to lose wickets. CC put up a decent score of 101 on board.

DI started to chase 102 in 20 overs. Prasad and Tekkem built up a 45 run partnership to take the game away from CC. DI lost the middle order and game went on until 19th over. DI chased the target in 18.1 overs.

MOM: was awarded to Prasad Sajja and Elango Ashokan for both Batting and bowling performances

Vikings Vs Buffs - - 08/02/2014 – Longmont – Reported by Avinash(Vikings)

It was a sunny day and Longmont had the lush green grass on the out-field. It didn’t look like the game would be high scoring and who doesn’t like a bowlers dominating game.
Vikings won the toss and elected to bat first, Vikings had a slow careful start but the wickets soon started to fall. Vikings could get to only 26 runs in first 10 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Vikesh played well for his 15. Vikings needed at least 80 runs to give some chance to their bowlers to defend but the wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Ashish once again played an incredible innings of 14 runs and Raj remained not out at 12. Sandeep and Gautam chipped in as well. Eventually Vikings could score only 68 runs in 19.1 overs.
Having a small score to defend Vikings needed to attack right from the front and needed to field really well. Vikings had a good fielding and bowling side and they lived up to the expectations. Tanmay and Harish were pick of the bowlers giving away only 7 runs each in their quota of 4 overs. Tanmay bagged 3 wickets to be adjudged MOM. Anchit, Ankit and Ashish too bowled very tight and made Buffs work hard for each of their runs. Vikesh and Sandeep took some outstanding catches and Vikings as a team made possible what looked impossible to defend a below par score of 68. Vikings won the game by 9 runs.

MOM: Tanmay Verma(Vikings) for his 3 wicket haul.

Anchors Vs Wyoming - - 08/02/2014 – Longmont – Reported by Das(Anchors)

Anchors were playing with a familiar opponent, and this was their third match against University of Wyoming over the last 2 months. Anchors were missing few of their regular players and so were University of Wyoming. With the outfield full of thick grass and water from the sprinklers Das decided to field and put University of Wyoming to bat which was a good decision because the ball was hardly travelling in the outfield . Vamsi and Srinivas started the bowling for Anchors and as usual they were brilliant with the ball with Vamsi getting the first wicket caught by Srinivas at mid-off. Soori was the first change bowler and he too bowled well by getting V Sabawat caught in the covers by Vimal who took a blinder and got his finger badly injured . It was a good gesture by the batsman to accompany Vimal to the doctor because it turned out really bad. He is not only lost his nail but his finger was also fractured .Anchors found themselves 1 bowler short. But Vamsi ,Srinivas,Soori along with Das bowled really well to restrict University of Wyoming to 30 runs for 3 wickets in the first 10 overs . Shanthi and Sandeep got them to a good total for the loss of 5 wickets. Sachin and Deepak who bowled as part-time bowlers didn't bowl too bad and kept their total to 85.

With the outfield coming into play and runs not coming fast the best approach on the pitch was to look for singles and punish the loose deliveries. Anchors mercurial opening batsman Bharat and Sachin knew that the total wasn't too big but Bharat played a really bad shot off the second ball he faced while trying to hit a ball which was well outside off to the leg side and ended up giving an easy catch to V Krishnan. In came Soori who had played an excellent innings against Renaissance, he was playing patiently initially but he too tried playing against the line and was bowled by Shanthi. Sachin on the other end played a solid knock by taking occasional singles and two’s. Pranay also played well for his 8 runs but was run-out by a direct throw from the boundary.Sachin and Das carried the score to 65 runs before Sachin got out by holing out a skier to the cover fielder. That was the last wicket for Anchors to loose, Das and Vamsi got Anchors through without taking any risks and Anchors chased the total within 18.1 overs inspite of having a batsman short in form of Vimal. This was again a fairly easy win for Anchors with Univ of Wyoming giving lot of extras in this match.

MOM : Sachin for his 30 runs and 1 wicket

Spartans Vs Royal Warriors - - 08/02/2014 – Cornerstone – Reported by Ravi(RW)

Spartans won the toss and elected to field first. Royal Warriors openers Ravi (15) and Murugan (26) gave a strong start making 49 in the first 9 overs. However, Spartans came back into the game after picking 2 wickets in the 10th over. Satish (11) and Chenna (14) anchored the middle order to post a respective total of 92 in 20 overs.

Chasing 93 for victory, Spartans made a fast start scoring 2 sixes in the second over. Murali P (6/4) who came to bowl as the first cut ran through Spartans top order. Sandeep L (19) provided some resistance for Spartans to continue the chase; however they ended up short of 4 runs with 4 balls to spare.

MOM: Murali Ponnudurai was declared the MOM for his figures of 4-0-6-4.

MHM Vs SuperKings - - 08/03/2014 – Cornerstone – Reported by MHM

Super Kings XI won the toss and chose to bat first.

Milehigh Mavericks bowled very well and got breakthroughs in regular intervals. Balwanth batted very well but fell short of partners. Super Kings scored 65 in 19.3 losing 10 wickets.
Chasing 66 MHM had a bit shaky start losing both the openers very early in the innings. Majji and Swamy took control and batted aggressively punishing every single loose delivery. MHM chased target just inside 10 overs.

MOM : Sudheer Chintalapati was adjudged man of the match for his wonderful bowling performance.

Syntel Vs Untouchables - - 08/3/2014 – Cornerstone– Reported by Sachin(UN)

Syntel XI won the Toss and decided to bat first.
Syntel XI batted well for first 10 over and scored 52 runs for loss of 4 wkts. After break Untouchables bowled very good and restricted Syntel XI on 76/9 in 20 Over.

Abhijit Das and Sareel started untouchables Innings. It was good opening partnership of 32 runs in 8 overs. Abhijit Das and Rishabh played some good shots and score 26 runs in next 3 overs. Yogesh took brilliant catch of Rishabh to dismiss him on individual score of 11 runs.
