Twenty20 Match Reports - Week 6 (20-21 May 2017)

T20 5-21-2017 reported by Vikrant Thakre (RCC)

On a beautiful day for the game of cricket the T20 game was played between RCC and CSCC-stars at the Denver ground. CSCC captain Prasanna won the toss and had no hesitation to bat first. CSCC openers Kervyn and Viswa provided a good start to CSCC innings with Kervyn batting fluently and hitting boundaries at will. After the fall of first wicket, Jayanth arrived to the crease and had a solid partnership with Kervyn till RCC made a break through by getting the wicket of Jayanth at the score of 102 in 13.5 overs. Sudarshan, Akhilesh and Naresh pulled the game back with some disciplined bowling and restricted the CSCC at 147 of 20 overs.

RCC started their innings looking to be positive but suffered an early loss wickets with some disciplined bowling from Humayun, Prasanna & Avinash. Adarsh and Sudarshan came together and went after the CSCC bowling hitting boundaries and sixes in full 360 spectrum. Partnership was studded with lusty hits and equally elegant cover drives, strokeplay can be best described as a hot knife piercing the soft butter. Sudarshan departed at the score of 102 with a beautiful away moving delivery by Humayun and CSCC started to see a chance to make a comeback in the game but Adarsh on the other end was virtually unstoppable and kept the assault going. In the end RCC comfortable chased the score of 148 in 19 overs with one over to spare.
Prasanna was the most successful bowler with 3 wicket haul, followed by Zaheer with 2 wickets.
Umpires adjudged Adarsh Sharma as man of the match for his 71 runs of 47 balls.

Man of the Match: Adarsh Sharma for his 71 runs out of 47 balls.

DCC got off to a perfect start as Harpreet picked Nayab’s wicket on first ball of the innings. LCC-T kept the scoreboard ticking with good running between the wickets and an odd boundary.
