Keystone Knight Riders have qualified from the North zone and are currently ranked #1.
Golden Lions have qualified from the South Zone and are currently ranked #2.
Even though the Central zone is still wide open, the permutations and combinations are such that Rockies Royals are assured of the overall 4th place and therefore have qualified.
In the Central Zone, after one game, Denver Daredevils are on top of the group with 2 points and a NRR of 2.8269. SunRisers Higlands Ranch have played both their games and are in second place with 2 points and a NRR of 0.9906. Manitou Indians is at the bottom of the pool with no points and a NRR of -4.0833.
However, the one game can change fortunes for all three teams. If Manitou Indians win big, they can jump ahead of both teams on NRR. A win is enough for Denver Daredevils to make it through but a big win will put them in overall first place, currently held by KKR. But at the same time a loss by about 10 runs will knock them out of the tournament and see SunRisers Highlands Ranch climb to the top of the pool.
This scenario has created a bit of uncertainty for the SunRisers Highlands Ranch and consequently for us, the schedulers. If SunRisers Highlands Ranch win the group, they will know only at the end of the Denver Daredevils vs Manitou Indians game. Many of their players are from Denver and they need time to get to the ground. So we will have to play their semi finals around 1 pm, which then would push the finals to 4 pm.
Our playoff schedule is as follows:
9 AM – Delhi Daredevils vs Manitou Indians.
12 PM – First Semi Finals #1 vs #4.
12 PM ( 1 PM if SunRisers qualify) – Second Semi Finals #2 vs #3.
3 PM (4 PM if SunRisers qualify) – Finals.
3 PM (4 PM if SunRisers qualify) – 3rd Place.
