A once decent middle order batsman who has turned himself into the finest opening batsman in the league. His rise has been so great that even as recent as 2004 he was considered middle of the road. 172 runs at 17.20 during 2004 became 480 runs at 36.92 in 2005.

Watch out for bigger things in 2006; Ganesh has already started in fine fashion by notching his maiden century (107 in 113 balls) during the Cougars selection weekend.
