Max Ali

 PLAYER PROFILE  CCL ID: 26
Name: Max Ali
Email: maxali65@yahoo.com
Team: Royal Bengal Cricket Club
Batting Style: Right Hand Bat
Bowling Style: Right Arm Medium

For some players, words can't cover enough to explain their cricket journey. Max Ali is surely one of the cricket giants in CCL.

He has been playing representative and league cricket since 1967, and was selected by BCCI's (Board of Control for Cricket in India) 3 month long fast bowling coaching camp in Madras.

He is a right hand batsman, mostly playing as an opener in his career. By nature, he is an aggressive batsman who likes to dominate the bowler by the willow. Apart from that, Max Ali is also a very useful right arm swing bowler. He used to start as an attack fast bowler for USA XI, Midwest League, and his University. He is a smart bowler mixing his quicker ones with his in cutters and slower ones very efficiently and more than often making the batsman lose his wicket.

Being in the US since 1972, he has been consistently performing as one of the good allrounders in USA XI, MidWest League, Saudi Arabian Cricket League and now in Colorado.

He is very agile and thoughtful person in the field and always share his expertise with others. RBCC is lucky to have one of the great players of cricket in their pool.

Some of his major accomplishments during his career are:

  • He played majority of his cricket in India, US, Canada, and nearly 13 years in Saudi Arabian desert during (1986-87) and (1992-2003) by far the toughest league outside of India.
  • He played for US team against Canada in the 70's.
  • He captained the US Central Zone Houston League team.
  • He played in Midwest Chicago League and represented the league in USA trials games.

Being part of CCL since 2003, he has captained the Denver Sluggers team for 2005 and 2006 seasons, was President of CCL for 2006 and 2007 seasons, Chief selector for 2006/2007, and part of the Selection Committee in 2008 season, and awarded the 2008 Ambassador of Cricket for CCL by CW-USACA. He is also one of the most generous and dedicated players in CCL.

Max Ali has BS in Math, Physics & Chemistry, BS in Aerospace Engineering and MS in Management and Information Technology and right now is working in the Aerospace industry...
