CCCC Gold Team Officers
By Jarrar Jaffari
Apr 25, 2006
 Email article   Print article

Rajesh Mosur will be the CCCC-Gold Captain for the 2006 season.

On April 21st, CCCC Gold held their pre-season team meeting to elect the on-field officers at the south Denver bar "Champps".

Most of the Gold members agreed to the fact that it was shortest and quickest meeting in the team history. After we all gathered and were drinking when "Jarrar" rudely interrupted and informed that the meeting will now start. The official business was to elect Gold team Captain and his deputy. Sam George’s earlier proposal of Rajesh Mosur as captain and Rohit Madhok as vice captain, was unanimously approved by every one with show of hands. The meeting was declared adjourned within five minutes of its start, but festivities (mostly drinking) continued till 10pm.

CCCC elects their Club officers in the post-season AGM (called Winter AGM) and this year Anshu Bhopalli was elected as the club President. Monish Rajpal would serve as Anshu’s Deputy where as Rohit Madhok was elected as club Secretary. Arvind Gupta will continue to hold the office of CCCC Treasurer for the second year.

CCCC has committed to hold a Junior cricket coaching clinic in the city of Longmont on June 17th 2006. Jarrar has been tasked to lead these efforts and come up with a lesson plan for the youth.

Few weeks ago CCCC held their Spring AGM at the Longmont ground with an awesome barbecue and a very competitive tennis ball game, that we guess one team won and the other one lost - however it is not easy to determine which team won. All we can say is the team featuring "Jarrar and Afan" lost and the one with "Solanki" won.

In the Spring AGM Rajesh Solanki was also elected as Gold team’s Practice co-coordinator.

Jarrar presented the idea and plan for the CCCC’s Longmont Night Cricket Championship. The tournament will start in July and will feature, yet to be determined, four CCCC Teams. The game will be changed to accommodate Americans into it and maximize the fun and engage family activities too.

CCCC Green has yet to finalize their on-field officers.
